The cast of American Hustle (2013) intrigues me: Christian Bale, Jennifer Lawrence, Amy Adams, Jennifer Lawrence, did I mention Amy Adams? And Jennifer Lawrence. Oh, I typed her twice I see. I could just type Jen and Amy for short. Those two would draw me to a theater seat.
I want to see both of those movies, but I think the only one coming here soon will be Dallas Buyers Club, which actually takes place during the 80's, when AIDS surfaced.
As someone who graduated high school in 1972, in terms of production design, I thought Mike Judge did a pretty good job with Dazed and Confused (I think it takes place in 1976). But aside from the bellbottoms, those coming-of-age characters were timeless, their hopes and dreams could have happened in any era.
I guess it's not too early to make movies to dissect the era..
what say you?

Do they have saxophone music in the love scenes?
Did you ever notice that with movies from that period? I didn't notice it back then but now, when I see them on TV, I wonder if it's a cue for parents to "hide the kids."
that was the partridge family's doesn't somebody want to be wanted?, followed by edison lighthouse's love grows where my rosemary goes as k-billy's super sounds of the 70's weekend just keeps on trucking.
