Splender In The Grass. Great movie with Natalie Wood and Warren Beaty. Well acted but the subject matter was actually really dumb. Disappointed when watched as an adult.
Ah, I just remembered the Beastmaster. When I first saw it around 7th grade (it was on HBO almost every day) I loved it. As an adult, not so much. Really, really bad.
Also, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Oh brother...
I still enjoy that, and some of the other old musicals, like "State Fair" and "Band Wagon". In those day, though, it was not cool for a guy to like musicals, my sister loved them, so it was socially imperative that I had to hate them.
Being older n durt........ The THING with James Arness as The THING........it struck terror in my lil bitty heart when I was 10....... not so much when I watched it the other day [at 70]

You're right---at 13, that was without a doubt the scariiest thing I'd ever seen.
The King Kong with Fay Wray gave me nightmares for many years after it was broadcast on TV in my youth. It's still a classic, but nowhere near as frightful, due to the comparably poor FX. "Twas beauty that killed the beast" lol. The only thing sillier was when Jack Black repeated this line.
Billy Jack
Easy Rider
Love Story - My husband still holds that one over my head
Porkys - We sat in that theater and laughed until we were sick. Now, I can't get through the first 15 minutes.
Grease - Saw it with my sister and we went back again the next night. Now, I'd rather chew tin foil than watch it.
Was channel surfing today and came across "Two Lane Blacktop." Hadn't seen it since it came out eons ago. You know what? It held up pretty darn good. Other than the girl who played Lori. She was an awful actress. Makes me wonder how "Vanishing Point" would feel after all these years.
