As far as live action movies, what era is your favorite?

They started with serials in the 40's and goes as far as the last Friday's TDKR.

For movies definitely Nolan. However, IMO nothing tops Batman the Animated Series from the1990's. To me that is one, if not the best, animated series ever made. Not even Nolan can touch that series IMO.

Oh, definately. I watched that religiously when I was little. Still watched Justice League and JLU.

I loved those, too. But these are MOVIES we're talking about.

(And if anything, that would be the Tim Burton Era)

BATMAN: MASK OF THE PHANTASM (1993) -- Had both a theatrical and video release, and was better than anything Tim Burton ever did.

BATMAN & MR. FREEZE: SUB ZERO (1998) -- A direct to video release. A fantastic movie that did two great things: 1.) Made you care about the villain, even if you didn't want him to win. 2.) Made Robin cool (something no other movie has managed to do).

Ok, specifically Live-Action.

But I'll give you a nod, the animated movies and shows of the 90's did hold more weight, even more so than the Nolan movies.

Burton's first "Batman" no question. Michael Keaton best Batman ever and Jack Nicholson best Joker ever! Real Actors and great characters.

I definitely think MIchael Keaton was the Best Batman but Christian Bale was the Bruce Wayne.
