Wisdom (Estevez, Demi Moore) 1986 (film, theater, scenes, history)

I guess I'd have been 9 or 10 when I first saw this. Loved it as a kid. I haven't watched it in forever, not sure how well it would hold up now.

Charlie Sheen has about 12 seconds of screen time and is freaking hilarious as a prick fast food manager. And the great Tom Skerrit is in it. Estevez was awful young to move into directing but given his film history, he had a lot of experience by that age.

I think I saw that in the theater in 1986 and haven't seen it since. I'd forgotten all about it. I think I might have liked it though.

Emilio made some cool movies back in the day, like this one, TBC, Young Guns and Men at Work (with Charlie), and my fave Repo Man.

Oh, and Mark's fave, Loaded Weapon 1.

I like Loaded Weapon. Funny movie. But I hate Young Guns and its sequel. Some of the dumbest movies of the '80s --- and I sat through TOP GUN in the theater.

My favorite Emilio movie is still THE OUTSIDERS. He's not a main character, but he definitely steals scenes.

Top Gun blows. I had to sit through the trailer last night. Thankfully, the Wonder Woman 1984 and Tenet trailers were great (and Black Widow's still is not).

The first Young Guns is a cool movie. The second one is forgettable.

But Repo Man is AMAZING.
