10 being deathly scary.

About to watch it tonight for the first time ever. The real Japanese version. Guy in lab said it made him stay awake for 2 days. Over exaggeration?

Ju-On was scarier. J-Horror had some good ones, But the creepy ghost girl thing got too overdone. Ringu was good, And its American remake only just OK.

The entire movie had a creepy aura, especially the ending...yikes but I slept like a baby even the same night. I think the guy in the lab is a pansy.
Also, I agree with D. Scott, Ju-On was scarier. After that movie, I started screaming and running the other way when I see any mean-looking Japanese girls with bad make-up.

I didn't find it all that scary. But, the problem is that I saw it after all the hype. So it is hard to give it an honest evaluation. I give it a 5.

Better than the American re-make (which I actually think is pretty good) .....

I just watched it. I liked it better than the American version tbh.

I thought Ju-On was scarier than Ringu.
I also think the American version of Ju-On (The Grudge) was very, very good (and very scary).

This is what the evil Samara from the American remake of Ringu looks like now:

She could come out of my TV anytime!
