That was an awesome film. Different than I expected but in a good way. Loved the take on Godzilla being a protector rather than a mindless destruction machine.

Saw it today. Really enjoyed it. The G-man especially was awesome.

The human characters were a tad bland. I got the feeling the screenwriters were really interesting in Bryan Cranston and Ken Watanabe's character, but the studio suits said, "No! Put in more pretty people!" Hence the soldier and the nurse, who never really had the chance to do much other than go from place to place and look worried.

Did anyone else catch the Mothra Easter Egg early in the film?

Read a few reviews that Godzilla's appearance was very limited on screen. That worries me a bit. Too much human and not enough beast. Reminds me of Predator vs Alien movie...too much human and not enough aliens duking it out.

^^I saw the Mothra reference! Was really excited about it! Maybe she will be in the next film, but maybe as Godzilla's ally since he was a good guy, unless he turns bad for the next film.

The movie did focus a lot on the humans and Godzilla had limited screentime, but it was really like Jaws, and how his big reveal, although later in the film, was epic. It made the movie better. I do wish Bryan Cranston was in it more, but I didn't find the humans really bland.

Saw it today in IMAX 3-D. Can't remember the last movie I saw in a theater. It was awesome! Lots of hand clapping and cheering in the audience for the Big G. He looked great, sounded great. He is the King of the Monsters. My hero...

Very good. Not overwhelming, if you know what I mean. It all flowed very well I thought. 3-D was excellent. There were times you felt you could reach out and touch him.

I didn't now I actually have a reason to see the movie again if my brother sees it again but in (l)IMAX 3-D like he wants to.
