I watched again and saw that too! It was a skinnier hook like appendage. Rumor has it that it is Rodan and possibly Gigan will make an appearance.

So much nostalgia here for many of us, Let's hope the film is a good one.

So excited for this movie! I heard the director worked with the original company who did Godzilla (or something like that).
And the monsters Godzilla fights in this one are original centipede like monsters (one is indeed winged).

One of the toy sets reveals who that is. See: Godzilla - First Look at the Muto Kaiju - Dread Central

Whoever conceived the fishing dock ad and the New Year's ball dropping ad for that Godzilla movie were geniuses. Not excited about a new Godzilla.
It's the only Godzilla I've seen...and it sucked. Though honestly, I've seen so many movies with Manhattan getting destroyed, I can't remember which images in my mind were from this movie.

I thought Godzilla (1998) was ok.

I thought so too but many seemed to have disliked it.

Oh btw, it is Gojira not Godzilla!
