I don't think this one is presently available on Netflix, but I remember watching it there a couple of years ago. Powerful documentary of the Golden Gate Bridge and the poor souls to choose to end their lives by jumping off it. The movie profiles the lives of some of the people who died. They also do a time lapse shot of the bridge for a year and it's shocking the amount of people who jump off it.

I am constantly recommending Dear Zackary, because it is one of the most intense documentaries I have ever seen. I almost took a day off of work the next day because it affected me so much.

Great thread, OP!

I watch Hungry for Change over and over. It is the one food-related doc that really hits home for me, and I've seen them all.

Food Inc is a very good documentary... it was available for streaming at one time.

You can see Food Inc online.

Do not watch this unless you are feeling very strong: [vimeo]22068507[/vimeo]
The Dying Rooms

This documentary is kind of scary to me: Jesus Camp

Jesus Camp is something else. If you liked it, check out Sons of Perdition on Netflix. Its about some teenage runaways from Warren Jeffs FLDS cult in Colorado City, Arizona.
