He had some good roles other than James Bond. My favorite is 'Medicine Man' (1992) which he did with Lorraine Bracco. He's a research biologist living in the Brazilian rain forest who accidently discovers a cure for cancer but can't duplicate the formula.
If I had to pick a favorite: THE UNTOUCHABLES. Although THE MOLLY MAGUIRES runs a real close second.
I liked Medicine Man as well. The Rock was big, dumb fun. The Hunt for Red October was great. Time Bandits is fun. And how can you not love Darby O'Gill and the Little People?
The third Indiana Jones movie Last Crusade. That's my favorite in the whole series. I also liked the one with Wesley Snipes: Rising Son.
Ditto for both.
And Hunt for Red October. I distinctly remember watching it for the first time, thinking about how weird that casting was, and then leaving it thinking how well he nailed the role.
I think it would have to be Marnie, because that Hitchcock gem is the best non-Bond movie he's ever been in. The Untouchables would be a close second. After those flicks, it's a toss-up.
Ditto for both.

I agree. But such casting isn't that strange for Hollywood--look at how many Brits have played Germans. Nobody did Rommell as well as James Mason. Okay, maybe somehow it's natural in the American consciousness for noble bad guys to have British accents.
Medicine Man, Finding Forrester amongst others mentioned.
