I took my kids to see Lion King and was taken back to my own childhood. Some scenes are almost exactly the same; the stampede and it was mom in the sky instead of dad, but same thing.
I loved Kimba! usually when I mention it, no one knows what I'm talking about.

Only a handful of people I have mentioned Kimba to know of Kimba. And those people also recognized right away that Lion King is a Kimba rip-off.

I will give Lion King a clap for technical aspects, such as the out of focus backgrounds which had not ever been done in animation, but other than that, I'm disappointed.

From childhood, my favorite Disney movies were the Herbie the Love Bug movies.
A more current Disney movie that I can watch over and over is Lilo and Stitch.

Before Frozen, I loved Beauty & the Beast.
After Frozen, Frozen.

When it comes to Pixar, Toy Story 3 is their best.

I hate picking favorites. So hard!

Really good live action Disney: Miracle, Pollyanna, Remember the Titans, Pirates of the Caribbean (I), Secretariat, The Rookie
Really good animated Disney: Beauty & the Beast, Tangled, Little Mermaid, The Incredibles, The Lion King, Toy Story, Up, Wall-E

Sentimental favorites: Pete's Dragon, Swiss Family Robinson, The Black Cauldron, The Fox and the Hound, Journey of Natty Gann, Wild Hearts Can't be Broken
