This movie is hilarious !!! I often feel like I am in that movie as I see the
world around me dumbing down. Drones of idiots with useless technology, doing, listening, acting, and buying whatever big companies tell them to etc.
Becoming lazy and rude, stupid, and just plain useless.

Hearing older people using slang like bling bling etc..too many examples to
list. If you have seen the movie and have witnessed similar proof, give more
examples. If you haven't seen it you should check it out. I think it takes
a certain type of person to appreciate it but I think many of the people on
this board will relate to it's humor. Sorry to the people with triple digit I.Q's but it's true ignorance is bliss. If that's not you, you will enjoy the movie!!

I really want to see this movie. I guess Judge really ticked off the uppity ups at Fox and Fox refused to distribute the movie (hence, straight to video).

Default yes

Yes that is true from what I found (or lack there of) when I googled it. It is
a ridiculous movie, but most people will see why I appreciated it so much. You will see what I mean if you watch it. As far out as it is you can really see
the world ending up how it is in that movie (to a degree).

It was shown in the theater in Austin, TX (my town) but that's probably 'cuz it was filmed here and Judge has a special relationship with Austin.
I was disappointed to see that it never got full distribution.

By the way, I watched it for a second time on HBO recently and I found it even more hilarious than the first time.
An excellent dark comedy.

I liked Idiocracy. It kinda felt like unfinished, or like it could have used an extra round of editing but it was good. Very clever social commentary.

It had its moments but it really wasn't all that funny. The premise was good... implementation could have been better. Definitely not in the same league as Office Space. I agree with NooYowkur that it could have used more editing. I was entertained but felt a little let down.

I agree about Idiocracy seeming unfinished. The studio probably pulled funding about 3/4's of the way through. I loved the movie though ... pretty much said it like it's going to be ... everyone will be like Beavis and Butthead.

What I want to know is, where in the heck did they find all those dumb-looking extras? Priceless.
