And it was sexist.

Still a must-see though.

I believe the opposite. They glorified the marriage and demonized the affair big time.

Why alot of men cheat, the opportunity presents itself, she was coming onto him big time. Probably thought he wouldn't get caught. This isn't a new dynamic/interaction between men & women. Anne Archer is lovely, great acting.

Ps It could go the reverse, too. A man coming onto a married woman and she cheats. It does in Unfaithful, however, a little diff. but she still pursues him.

Originally, Anne Archer was going to play Alex. It was Glenn Close who really wanted the part, came in
dressed as the character (Alex) and the films director agreed.

Anne Archer was phenomenal in this film.

Yes; I can see the similarities.

Michael Douglas and Anne Archer did a great job too. I'm going to have to watch this movie again soon, it's been a long time since I've seen it.
It was probably my favorite suspense film from the 1980's and easily in my top 5 overall. Glenn Close provided one of the best performances ever in Fatal Attraction. Michael Douglas and the rest of the cast were very good, too.

Play Misty for Me was good too, but Glenn Close easily outshined Jessica Walter in her role while Clint Eastwood and Michael Douglas were probably about even IMO. Fatal Attraction is better, but both are worthwhile viewing.
