In the realm of Zombie movies, both were pretty high budget relatively modern relatively well received zombie movies both with some big name actors in them. I won't begin to get into my personal opinion on which movie is better or which one I prefer, just looking to see where everyone else stands. Which one do you prefer and why?

Yeah, Legend was okay...the ending was horrible (in my opinoin). WWZ was pretty good. Neither of them were amazing, but both are worth watching at least once.
I haven't seen the I Am Legend remake (since I heard they got the basic premise wrong, I haven't bothered to see it), but the original story and the earlier movie versions were about a new race of vampires, not zombies.
The Vincent Price version was about vampires created by a plague, as was the original novel.
But central to the theme of the novel was that the creatures were actually a stable mutated race of intelligent hominoids. The protagonist becomes "legend" as the last of the old breed on earth, not realizing that he is seen as a monster by the new race, wreaking death and havoc among them, and will become the "boogeyman" that the new race will use to scare their children in future horror stories.

yes, they were crazy mutants, but they could still think, although not rationally
