Meek's Cutoff is good but no Wendy and Lucy, and even less, Old Joy. I haven't seen Reichardt's environmental film.

Have not seen Old Joy, but Wendy and Lucy and Night Moves were right up there with Meek's Cutoff, 8/10 or better. I would rate them:

1. Meek's Cutoff
2. Wendy and Lucy
3. Night Moves
4. River of Grass

Saw Night Moves at the theater. Kelly Reichardt is on a short list of directors that I'll see at the theater.

If you haven't seen Old Joy, you've missed her best. The only one I haven't seen is Night Moves. River of Grass is just plain nuts, made years before Old Joy. There was no trace of the Reichardt the public now knows in it. Reichardt is also on the short list of directors I'd go to a theater to see.

I prefer "Drive" to The Place Beyond the Pines, and I didn't like Blue Valentine at all (and they filmed it near my hometown).

I agree with your picks for Lana Turner and Robert Downey Jr.
