I appreciate all the love Captain America is getting, its a great movie with great acting. Robert Redford's acting was Great and imo made the movie more plausible.
But X-men Futures Past was no slouch and was hands down the best X-men movie of the whole franchise.
If you haven't seen it I recommend checking out before it leaves the Movie theaters.

I think what made it work was it is pretty topical (NSA spying, droning) and rather than being say a Borne or another political thriller that most people may get turned off on off the bat. Captain America was taking a known character in a known franchise and throwing it into one of these. I don't care to dive in too much but the different parts of the story made it great.
