Anything with animals makes me cry. War Horse would be an example. Heck, I can cry at an episode of Mister Ed.
I saw recently an old dog movie, 40's or 50's, wow. I think he was sold, they had no food for him so someone gets him, but he runs away... stopping at different people's homes. An old woman finds him near death, feeds him and gets him back to health, then he keeps going to the door, has to find his way back to his original owner, which he does.

I just happened to catch the Bridge to Terabithia on TV the other night, I missed the beginning but saw most of it. I knew nothing about the movie before hand other than it was sort of a fantasy movie aimed at kids.
I didn't even intend to watch it, I was just looking for something on TV to pass some time while I was eating. I kept expecting that the movie would suddenly go into full "Lord of the Rings" or "Harry Potter" fantasy mode and it would be cool to see how these kids interact in that world.
It was nothing like that though, the fantasy elements were kept in the background and only really hinted at until the very end. It was more of a story of the friendship between this boy and girl who were both pretty much outcasts at school and invented a fantasy world called Terabithia to escape to together.
The third act is utterly heart wrenching though and a real tear jerker!
It's a testament to the performance of AnnaSophia Robb who played Leslie though, that her character affects you so deeply and you can't seem to shake thinking about this movie after it's over.
When Lara leaves with Komorisky, and Yuri watches from the window. Everyone knows he will not follow, as he promised. I felt like why didn't he follow, even if it meant sitting on her lap? Look, it was just a short ride to the train.....idiot!
Fiddler on The Roof---the scene where the daughter leaves to go join her lover in Siberia and says goodbye to her father as the train approaches. I cried at that scene---don't leave your Daddy! The guy will get out of prison soon enough.....oh, here comes the train....we all know its goodbye forever!
