Kudos to both Rob Lowe for speaking out against this and, particularly, Jimmy Kimmel, whose on-air take on SONY's madness was spot-on.

Thankfully, not everyone's a pansy in this country.

Exactly. Also, I highly doubt all of the internet tough guys calling Sony cowards are going to stand guard at movie theaters to make sure said threat doesn't occur.

I'm not. I'll be inside watching the movie. Why should people stand guard against non-credible threats?

How do you know it's not credible?

It's simple. Vote with your wallet. Elect NOT to buy, rent, or see any of their products/movies, etc.....avoid it as much as possible. They'll get the message. And at that point, we'll get one helluva movie.

Well I figure movie tix prices will be up from this fallout...runs the gamut from movie houses putting in another layer of bureaucracy in the creation of films...I'll simply call it 'The WarRoom'...on call with the possible 'controversial and touchy touchy stuff...and then guards at theaters...of course they'll be promos for the best seats if theaters stay empty!...;-)...a mess

Because every report about this says it isn't for one.

More to the point I still fly on airplanes and go in skyscrapers even though people who've actually committed terrorists acts in the past are stil targetting them. You can live your life in fear if you want to. Why force the rest of us to cower alongside you though?

I think Sony cancelled the release because they had some really bad emails the hackers were going to release next. The juicy stuff, like who's having sex with who, etc. LOL

The FBI and homeland security didn't suggest to raise the threat level since the announcement of a possible attack. It remained at elevated like it has virtually since the threat levels were introduced in 2002. Call me a statist but I'll believe the FBI and homeland security more than some hactivist.
