I just watched The Babadook, which I got from a list of sleeper hits of 2014. It was definitely a great scarey movie and very non-traditional. It didn't rely a lot of thrills and scares. If you want to see a unique scarey movie, this is definitely one!

98% Fresh Rating!

And no, I gain no profit from promoting the movie. I just recommended it to a friend who saw it and also thought it was a solid movie.

I've been looking forward to seeing this one... found it at a theater about an hour away from home, and only showing one time per day, and each daily showing starts between 8:30 and 9:00 p.m. However - the Seahawks are playing Saturday evening so this may have to wait until next weekend.

Default Babadook

I started reading a lot of buzz about it and was frustrated that I could not find it in any theaters ( and I live outside of Chicago) finally watched it on Amazon Prime.
Would love to hear what you think. Very interesting "horror" movie. Did it really happen? Or Was it a slide Into madness? Did I see what I thought I saw? Very well done. Not for the "Saw" or "Hostel" gore horror fans but again, like BIRDMAN, mesmerizing acting, and much left to interpretation. I don't want to say much about it but do encourage film lovers to check it out.Anyone hear of this or see it?
Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Am I going to have trouble sleeping if I watch this movie?
The Exorcist scared the crap out of me, I'm not one of those people who enjoys being scared. I prefer to laugh.

Saw this movie last week. A solid thriller, not for the blood-and-gore horror fans but this one has more psychological scares with great acting. If you like movies like 'The Others' then you'll like The Babadook.

I want to get a copy of that creepy storybook now.

Saw this movie a few weeks ago on PPV, it was creepy in parts. The mother/son relationship was very unique. It wasn't very scary, though IMO. More psychological.
