It's freezing cold right now in my city and I'll probably be snowed in this weekend. Therefore, I'll have to watch some movies to keep me entertained. What movies do you all associate with winter? Here are some of my picks:

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford- Yes, it's long and kind of slow, but if you're stuck in the house and it's cold outside, it's a good movie to watch.

Frozen (2010)- Not the Disney movie. This is a horror movie about a few unlucky people stranded at a ski resort.

Legends of the Fall- This is great to watch in any weather, but it moves at a slow pace so it's good for the winter.

30 Days of Night- It's set in Alaska and there's snow and vampires.

"The Thing" for sure, and Johnny Tsunami if you're into the old snowboarding 90s movies.

Hmmmm, winter.............and not very high latitudes or alien environments?

Well, if not:

Very High Latitudes: The Red Tent
Alien Environments: Screamers

But winter itself?

Baby Boom
The Dead Zone

But winter herself?

The Three/Four Musketeers (sorry, couldn't resist)

Wind's right, but he'll just run soon as we step out of these trees.

Trick to it. Walk out on this side of your horse.

What if he sees our feet?

Elk don't know how many feet a horse has.

Spoiler

The Shining:

I liked - didn't love, but liked - A Simple Plan (I feel some of the casting hindered the potential of the film), but it did a very nice job visually representing the stark black0-and-whites of a Minnesota winter.
