Moulin Rouge is actually a fantastic movie - BUT - you have to have the background to know and appreciate the "in" jokes and history involved, which 90% of audiences don't. For instance, the giant elephant was based on fact. There was one in France, one in New Jersey, and one that an author (Jules Verne ?) animated and had trapse through India. Baz is a brilliant showman.

I was laughing and thoroughly enjoying that movie while the audience around me was sitting like dumb (silent) mannequins.

I thought Nicole Kidman was terrible in it. She can't really sing. Or dance.

Seinfeld's episode dedicated to that movie was spot on!

It had nothing to do with missed "in" jokes ... I just hated the frenetic style of the movie and the performances.

Baz Luhrmann's Romeo and Juliet was great. Moulin Rouge was a miss for me, too. Not to mention the epic fail Epic movie Australia!

Contagion . Saw it in IMAX, So extra $$ (2 tickets to boot) spent for a movie that was as fun as watching grass grow.

Half the movies mentioned here are among the best films around! I don't get that.

The Matrix, Juno, Wolf of Wall Street, Transformers, these are all great 4 star movies! I mean get real if that's what you think deserves a refund you are not much of a cinema fan! You clearly don't get out much. Moulin Rouge, Lincoln (though boring in many parts), and others listed are still solid, good, B-level movies. I love Dark of the Moon and saw it 3 times in theaters!

I wanted a refund on Tomorrowland, recently, that was pure garbage. Cloud Atlas sucked pretty badly too.

The rest of the stinkers that I hated I didn't pay to see or just rented on Netflix.

PS: Hitch isn't great but it's very good. Never heard of anyone not liking it... Again, really?!
