A flick that's NOT animated, totally silly, funny, sunny, gives few if any nods to reality, slightly sweet, and slightly stupid too? Some of the ones I like:

The Blues Brothers (1980 original)
Ghostbusters (1984)
Legally Blond (2001)
Malibu's Most Wanted (2003)
Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle (2004)
Little Miss Sunshine (2006)

I need a break sometime. Anybody got some others?

Cookie's Fortune (1999). Has a lot of stars in it, Glenn Close, Liv Tyler, Julianne Moore, Chris O'Donnell, Ned Beatty and more. It even has Lyle Lovett in it. One of my all-time faves. I can watch it over and over and it gets me every time.

Oh, I LOVED that movie! I didn't think it was goofy, though. Maybe I need to watch it again, because I remember I watched it a few times back then myself.

I like "The Gods Must be Crazy" for goof-appeal

I think mine would probably be "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation". LOVE that movie!! (And my son had a straight-from-the-movie real-life encounter with a squirrel a few years ago that absolutely mimicked Clarke Griswold's, which makes that one scene all the more funny to me.)

I thought of another one Galaxy Quest 1999 with Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver, Alan Rickman, Tony Shalhoub, where they are the has-been stars of a sci-fi show, like a spoof on Star Trek conventions. Cracks me up.

WAIT! Caddyshack! I've got to see if Amazon instant video has it for tonight! 1980 with Bill Murray, Chevy Chase, Rodney Dangerfield. Hilarious.

EDIT: Yay, both of the above are on my watchlist now. I'm adding a bunch of the movies mentioned to my watch list. Time for some giggles!
