I just watched The Big Country (1958) with Gregory Peck, Jean Simmons, Carroll Baker, Charlton Heston and Burl Ives. It's an excellent Western and gets an 'A' from me.

Just watched "Castaway" (not the 2000 movie, an older one, a 1986 British production).
I was blown off by the natural beauty of the Donahue girl.

Made by children for younger children. They have warnings about adult content. How about warnings for childish content?

Story Telling at its Finest, Australian Style.

Spectacular performances by Bryan Brown and Ben Mendelsohn, as always.

Poltergeist (2015), Gil Kenan
I know it isn't popular to like remakes but this movie had the heart of the original but done for modern audiences and with modern technology. It had nods to the original but in no way copied it too much. This is how sequels and remakes should be made going forward. Takes the base story, changes it but keeps classic elements we would expect from it.
Grade: C+, borderline B-
