I remember this scene from a movie I saw at the drive-in back in the 70s but can't remember the name of the movie. Here's pretty much how it went I think;
An Indian named Bowel got a notice from the government to relocate so he went into town to fight it.
He told the first person he saw " Bowels won't move " so the guy directed him to the Doctor's office. When he told the Doctor why he was there the quack gave him some prune juice and he left feeling confused back to his teepee. A week later another notice showed up and he went back to that Doctor and told him " Bowels still won't move. " The Doc then gave him twice as much prune juice and told him that should take care of things. He got another eviction notice a few days later and went back into town.As soon as he saw the doctor he told him " Bowels must move, teepee full of s**t. " Does this scene sound familiar to anyone?
Well, that's a very old joke, I think I heard it as a child in the 60's. That someone went off and put it in a movie is really not surprising......sounds like something out of Kentucky Fried Movie, Tunnel Vision, or some other similar that likes to spoof the world like National Lampoon.
If it's in a movie and not just the joke itself, it might be in "Blazing Saddles."
No, it's not blazing Saddles because I watched that recently and it wasn't in there. I seem to think the movie just had a bunch of funny scenes instead of a 2 hour plot. Another scene I remember was the Lone Ranger getting bit by a snake and Tonto refusing to suck out the poison.
I'm thinking it might have been the Groove Tube, I'll see if it's on YouTube.
I'm pretty familiar with "The Groove Tube". I don't think it includes the "Bowels" joke. It does include commercials for "Brown 25 - A product of the Uranus Corporation".
I, too, first heard the "Bowels" joke in the 1960's. I can still remember my friend Kenny telling it.
