Actors come and go, some can be easily forgotten, some are excellent, some are merely great; if however you ever want to see an acting Tour De Force...
If you want to see one man who carries an entire movie alone. If you want to see one actor who could have been alone on the screen speaking only his lines with no need even for stage scenery, with nothing but subtitles or narration in response to his lone voice and still been captivating, look only to this movie:
A scratchy print, the fuzzy black and white (and at times too dark) cinematography, and an inexplicable visible cut at the beginning of the film (as transferred to DVD) will probably keep many - especially the young from wanting to watch, but if you are a film buff, this is still a must see. I recommend it highly.
I have it on DVD, but if you are interested in watching, it is in Public Domain and can therefore be viewed in it's entirety on You Tube.
