Hi

I'm pretty sure of this story line. But tried searching. Can any of you remember watching this.. I think somewhere in 2000s.
The movie is about interracial love. There is an American Air Force guy who ends up in some Asian country and gets caught, injured and his passport is seized. He is rescued by a Asian man and taken to his house where his widowed (I think daughter in law) takes care of his wounds , cooks food and helps him to get recovered and finally tries to get back his passport. Eventually he falls in love with her. The ending scene is in airport where he promises her he'll settle things back at his place I think Virginia and come back for her .

Waiting for replies!

Thank you for your inputs. But the movie i was talking about definitely has a passport kind of thread as the woman in the movie takes risk to get back his passport and help him without thinking of herself. And it's normal movie without any war fields etc. The movie also has just countable characters!

Which era did the movie take place? Was it modern times? The world wars? Korea? Vietnam?

Google pulls up an Italian a 1942 WWII film Un Pilota Ritorna where he is shot down in Greece and trying to escape the British, with this general plot, besides the interracial angle

Can't think of the movie, but military people don't have passports. Maybe you are mixing two different story lines.

The best - the absolute BEST interracial love story is now showing. "A United Kingdom" is the true story of the King of Botswana and how he came to love an English lady and brought her to live in Botswana.
