Can't argue that. I honestly prefer that score to any of the others Williams did for Star Wars, Raiders, and so on. Hell, I even like his Jaws music better than those. But his Superman score is my favorite.
I don't know that Williams is capable of doing a bad score. But I agree with you: Both JAWS and SUPERMAN are some of his finest work. I love his STAR WARS score, too, but honestly, its best moments were ripped off form Holst and Jerry Goldsmith. Not that that is necessarily a bad thing. If you're going to steal, at least steal from the best.

I like it. But it's mood music. Nolan movies are all about the visuals. As much as I enjoy Zimmer's Batman music, very little of it is memorable outside the context of the movie.

I'll give it a listen. But I was extremely underwhelmed with the WONDER WOMAN score, even though I adored the movie. Every little girl in America should be running around humming the Wonder Woman theme. But I doubt 99 in 100 could even remember three notes.
None of the Marvel movies have good music. And by the way, I'm not the only one who laments this.

Goldsmith's theme for ST:TMP is dyn-o-mite!
Here's another good one. Don't even bother trying to score the CD remaster. It's OOP and already climbing past $60. I should've grabbed one when they were $20. [Correction: more copies in on Amazon, back down to $21...GO!!!]

I actually loved WW's score. I thought that it was majestic, epic, and emotionally propulsive (like the film itself). And surprisingly enough, the whole WWtheme part of it (what Junkie wrote, which has certainly become iconic already) is the one part I don't care about the soundtrack. Oh, and Sia's song. That is just meh...
It's pretentious mood music. At best. And the main riff is a rip-off of a '90s cartoon. Blech and blah.
