Everywhere I read or hear reviews, this is the movie of the summer to see. I can't remember the last time I say a Rotten Tomatoes release at 97%. NPR agrees.....GQ reviewer: “the best, most original action movie of the Summer.”
I am real selective about movies that get my time and money (and extra calories).
We saw it this week-
Friend of my son's went to preview screening last week and was raving about it
Personally it was ok but there have been better caper flicks
Just has a nice "hook"
I read couple of posts that the sound track was supposed to be awesome but not tracks that I thought were that great...
And the script had lot of holes...
Since the writer was the director and producer there was no one to say "that's a bad idea"
This is just like "Moonlight" --- which had its own problems last year...
Lily James did good accent
And Kevin Spacey just did Frank Underwood...but he is so good at doing it who can argue
Jamie Foxx's character wouldn't have been asked back according to Kevin Spacey's rules
I don't understand why Jon Berthnal (?) got second billing when he had 1/4 the part that Hamm had...he didn't even get killed in the movie...
Made no sense that he got second billing...
Saw it today. The actions and sounds of the movie, like closing car doors, shooting firearms, etc. are all set in time to whatever tune is playing on the almost never-ending soundtrack of classics. Good car chase scenes (but not as good as Bullitt [1968]--never yet equalled IMO) and lots of work for expert stunt drivers. A fun ride with a little love story going.

Spacey's nephew was interesting
I saw it on Thursday, and would pretty much agree with this. I thought it was okay... Although, with all the horrible movies I've seen this year, just being okay feels like a rave review.
Aint that the truth
We go to movies a lot -- once or twice a week if there are good ones but this has been a real drought of decent flicks
Usually Tom Cruise has a decent action movie but
Mummy was a bomb
Transformers ditto
Pirates sucked
Wonder Woman overhyped
The House was an embarassment
Rough Night flailing--ScarJo watch out--looks can only redeem bad choices once in while (and I enjoyed Lucy)

I thought it was pretty good.
