I was thinking about the current and the previous
Transformers movies, and I was wondering what impact Mark Wahlberg might have had on those films.
I personally have mixed feelings about Mark Wahlberg where on one hand I know that he had a pretty dark past, but then on the other hand, I can kind of take him or leave him in a movie role. Also, in the 2001 campy Tim Burton version of
Planet of The Apes, which I liked, I thought that he was alright in that movie, which grossed $180,011,740 domestically. Although, adjusted for inflation it grossed $281,135,300, which is better than the current POTA movies are doing:

(and which I would have liked to have seen the sequel because I loved the cliffhanger
). But the studios decided that it didn't make enough money and discontinued the franchise at that time. Therefore, go figure.
Also, his movies really haven't grossed that much:

with the exception of
The Perfect Storm(which was really a George Clooney vehicle),
Planet of the Apes (2001), and
Transformers: Age of Extinction(which I think rode the wave of the
Transformers franchise). Plus, there's also
Ted, which was actually a Mark Wahlberg vehicle(if you don't count the teddy bear).
But Mark Wahlberg either has a very good agent... or someone in Hollywood really wants to see him succeed. But what are you thoughts about Mark Wahlberg?
