Interesting, since I feel that of these, only West Side Story is iconic as a
film. (I've heard good things about the Showboat film.)
Fun fact: Stephen Sondheim himself has stated that Tim Burton's
Sweeney Todd was the only good film adaptation of his musicals, and that includes West Side Story!
A Little Night Music, in particular, I thought had a very poor reputation as a film.
