feminists apparently went nuts over that movie. Calling it sexist and saying it is against working women. I have also seen it referred to as a "Conservative" movie

Its a Tour de force of acting by the cast and a great movie. I have the special edition with the alternate ending. Stand out scene is the one after Mike breaks in the house. After the brief struggle and argument the moment of silent tension and look they give each other is haunting.

Glenn said in interviews that men thanked her for preventing them for embarking on similar affairs. She was super scary, he was a sleaze who you still felt a bit bad for.

I never knew there was an alternate ending! I agree that it was a very emotionally impacting film.

Alternate ending is a big downer. After such a suspensful and intense film it would have been too much for audiences.
