The Internet Movie Database posted: "After in-depth discussion and examination, we have concluded that IMDb's message boards are no longer providing a positive, useful experience for the vast majority of our more than 250 million monthly users worldwide.
The decision to retire a long-standing feature was made only after careful consideration and was based on data and traffic."
So sad to see this indispensable site decide to let it go, but it's not too surprising with the terrible behavior of so many boorish members running rampant there for years.

I can see why, because it's become a troll fest over the years. I'm sure it's expensive to moderate such a massive message board without volunteers. I say good riddance.
Too bad the trolls ruined it for everybody. I've found a lot of cool information and links on films and various related topics in the message boards. Oh, well.
Trolls are ruining everything and taking away so much good of the internet. I hate to see them cave. Can't they use better word filters or something?
