Almost forgot

DIAL M...it's one of my favorites too...so very clever.
RMilland and GKelly were great

DO YOU REMEMBER what character he was in each and every film?
REAR WINDOW...he was briefly seen as a neighbor in the apts.

I haven't seen all of his movies, but in Dial M, he appears as one of people in the college graduation party in the photo on the wall, in the close up shot when Ray Milland is looking at it.

Vertigo he was walking by in the establishing shot of Elster's shipyard. Can't remember where in Psycho.

I love all his movies. To Catch a Thief with Cary Grant and Grace Kelly is my favorite. I liked his early work and The Thirteen Steps is a favorite too. I have a fondness for black and white films.

VERTIGO...double trouble from actress Kim Novak...
Didn't give explanations so as not to spoil movies if you have not seen...
You have a favorite or comments on Hitch???

HUGE fan - but not so much of those. I know that critics consider Vertigo the best, but it leave me cold.

I think his most perfect movie is Notorious, which has everything - suspense, romance (that famous kissing scene!), humor, gorgeous cinematography. The runners up for me would include Rebecca and 39 Steps. And then a whole bunch of third-tier.

I loved "Rear Window." Both Stewart and Kelly were phenomenal.

I'm not sure that Hitchcock was a kind person, but he was an amazing director. My favorite film of his, which scared the heck out of me as a child when I first saw it, is "The Birds." It was filmed in Bodega Bay, CA.
