I keep thinking this is Schwarzenegger Pt. Deux Both mediocre actors but convincingly built for the he man role.

The fact that both have enjoyed time as the highest paid actor is interesting.

I was frankly thinking the same thing. Very similar in many ways... both gave their audiences what they wanted...entertainment and action.

Dwayne Johnson has yet to run for public office. Yet.

True dat. But I was only thinking in terms of their popularity and the amount of $$ they pull (or pulled, as the case may be with Arnold) in at the box office. What T had to do with that is beyond me.

(Oh.. unless you were referring to him running in the next presidential election there)

He is delusional if he thinks he can win the Presidency without serving as governor first. Trump was a huge name for decades. People liked the business experience that comes with owning 7000 businesses.

No. I'd be truly shocked if that happened. But then, I'm aghast that anyone in their right mind would vote for Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump, so I am obviously not a typical American.

Without derailing this thread, Drumpf was well-known not simply because he was a greasy snake, but because he was something of a cartoon on the American landscape. I rarely heard his name without it being attached to some kind of joke or other tabloidesque fodder.

And as for his business "experience," a lot of that involved massive debt and not settling his accounts. So I hear.
