Yet Infinity War has far exceeded Black Panther globally and has topped it in just about every other totals category......
Why is this a debate?
A. All the money is going to Disney and Marvel anyway. This is like people arguing over whether Muhammad Ali's right hand was prettier than his left hand.
B. Infinity War was planned from the beginning to be Marvel's biggest movie to have been released. If it turns out to be Marvel's biggest movie, then things are going as planned.
C. The success of Black Panther is great, but it was, indeed, larger than anyone predicted.
D. All the money is going to the same people anyway.

It's obviously proof that what the movie going audience wants is more raccoons in movies.
Nope, AIW is not going to outgross BP domestically. In our exchange 17 days ago (4 pages ago), AIW was about $34mil ahead of BP, in totals. Today, that gap has narrowed to $10mil.
Spoiler
Week 3
AIW: $80.3mil BP: $85.4mil
Week 4
AIW: $38.8mil BP:$57.4mil
Week 5
AIW: $27.3mil BP: $35.8mil
Week 6
AIW: ~$15mil BP: $25.1mil
Weekend 4
AIW: $29.4mil BP: $40.8mil
Weekend 5
AIW: $17.2mil BP: $26.6mil
Weekend 6
AIW: $10.5mil BP: $17mil
Weekend 7
AIW:
BP: $11.4mil
Weekend 8
AIW:
BP: $8.7mil
Weekend 9
AIW:
BP: $5.7mil
All the numbers point to AIW not outgrossing BP, which has outgrossed AIW by ~$42mil since week 2. Looking at 6th weekends, AIW grossed $10.5mil and BP grossed $17mil. So as we head into the 7th weekend, AIW will likely gross about what BP grossed in its 9th weekend. Come Monday morning, the totals gap will only be $2-3mil. Then, its just a matter of days until (A) AIW inevitably falls behind BP in totals and (B) a family of superheroes and dinosaurs take over theaters.
I don't understand your numbers. And where are you getting them? Because the numbers that I showed indicated that AIW was ahead of BP domestically.

Yes, and with that being said, here's my original statement:

Stateside, A3 will not outgross BP ($700mil), and will likely settle with an over/under $655mil. A3 had a $28mil fourth weekend, which is about what BP made in its fifth weekend (BP had a $40mil fourth weekend). In other words, A3 holds are not as good.
With a likely $2billion worldwide gross, that’s over 3x the box office of Justice League.

We are using the same source. There's a Daily, Weekend, and Week tab.
BP opened with $202mil, AIW opened with $258mil. So a $56mil gap in favor of AIW.
Since then, BP has had stronger week-over-week holds (drop avg 38% vs 45%)
By day 42, BP had $639mil, AIW has $647mil. That $56mil gap has dwindled to $8mil.
So yes, you're right, AIW is ahead, but it is tracking to fall behind BP because it's dropping at a faster rate.
Sometime next week actually.

Wife and i went to see Avengers last night, it was ok had great cinematography but i found it had too many actors and a feeble and chaotic storyline that begs a sequel that i think i'll take a pass on.
