"Next Gen" is a 2018 computer animated movie about robots similar to previous movies such as "Big Hero 6".

The movie is fine as far as new age cartoons go.
I wanted to provide a warning for anyone thinking of letting their young children or grandchildren watch this movie.

While it is rated PG and designed to attract a young audience, it combines very mature themes with repeated and steadily increasing violence and tops it off with repeated heavy cursing including multiple uses of poorly bleeped F-bombs.

Some of the other reviews were much more scathing than yours.

TERRIBLE MESSAGES!
Warning! This movie is absolutely disgusting both with its cronic violent messages and vulgar language throughout the entire movie. We kept regretfully waiting for it to take a turn for the better but it persists the entire time! I’m disgusted and disappointed that Common Semse would give it the review it did and they totally missed the mark. I’m so upsetting kids saw this filth:/

I completely understand that point of view.
For those caught unaware, it could be suprising and upsetting to unknowingly expose a young child to this film.

Which begs the question, why not review the movie before you take your children to it.

Or at least look at the parents guide on IMDB, or other such sites online.
Both Mai's dog and her mother occasionally use "f**k" and "s**t" for comedic effect. (The words are fully obscured, but some may be distinguishable for older kids based on the context of the sentence. Others are nonsensical.) Other milder terms like, "idiot", "moron", "God", "****", and "pervert" are used infrequently.

Some of the soundtrack has obscured profanity albeit strong.

You might be suprised to learn that many people do not prescreen PG cartoons for excessive profanity and realistic violence.

For starters the film was on Netflix, but not in the movie theaters.

Secondly, I doubt you take care of children. They are better at finding things online than their parents.

Correct, and agreed.

Raises the question, not begs it.
