Something occurred to me. Pretty much any story can sound awful if you don't describe it the right.

So here's the game: Describe a movie or show in one sentence. Then rest have to guess what it is.

Ready? I'll get the ball rolling:

A fragile youth is ostracized from his community because of his birth defect, welcomed back only because his deformity is now useful to his father's employer.

Any guesses?

Well, it's not one sentence, but here is a great example of how trailers can totally mislead an audience:

I'll offer up another example:

After months of surveillance, a stalker finally gets her heart's desire.

Your first one stumped me completely, but I can think of two films that this description might fit: Play Misty for Me and Fatal Attraction.

Clever! I haven't seen that movie for a very long time, so I'd forgotten how the lead female character's behavior could be (mis)characterized as stalkerish.

Angry man obsessed with bats (the animal, not the Louisville sluggers) dons a costume and uses fancy gadgets to fight crime. He's wealthy and often has a sidekick with a far less impressive costume.

No one will EVER get this one. ; )
