Wow, there are so many great endings to great movies, that I have a hard time even remembering all of them off the top of my head!
But some that spring to my mind are these:
The wrap up (last few scenes) of The Lives of Others, and the final lines in the final scene. WOW. Blew me away.
The final scene, where Meryl Streep is singing (and man, can she sing) in Postcards From the Edge.
The final words spoken by Kevin Spacey in American Beauty - and the scene with Annette Bening running into his closet and grasping at his clothes as she falls in grief in the very last few scenes.
The last lines in Divine Secrets of the YaYa Sisterhood - When the mother asks the daughter "Does this dress make me look fat?" and the daughter carefully says, "No - in fact, if anything, it makes you look too thin." Or something like that. Anyway, it was a great scene.
Last scene of Life is Beautiful, when the little boy and his mother are reunited, and he sees the American tankers coming up the road with his "prize" and realizes that in a way, his father was telling him the absolute truth.
The Usual Suspects, when Verbal disappears into the crowd and the interrogator realizes what has happened.
Sunset Boulevard, and the crazed elderly movie star's final words.
There are so many more but those are the ones that come to my mind first.
OH, and Anthony Hopkin's final line about having an old friend for dinner in Silence of the Lambs!
Canadian film called "Last Night". Great ending. Lars von Trier's Melancholia. Another end of the world film with a great ending. Citizen Kane of course. Rosebud!! Spartacus. The Third Man. Maltese Falcon "The, uh, stuff that dreams are made of."
Hubbell: You never give up, do you?
Katie: Only when I'm absolutely forced to. But I'm a very good loser.
Hubbell: Better than I am.
Katie: Well, I've had more practice. Your girl is lovely, Hubbell. Why don't you bring her for a drink when you come?
Hubbell: I can't come, Katie. I can't.
Katie: I know.

And then she gently strokes the golden hair across his forehead. Sigh!!!!
That's where my mind too, went when I saw the thread.
Great endings come several minutes before "The End". How many times have I gritted my teeth ans screamed "Roll the credits", knowing they were about to spoil a good film with an awful scene tacked on.
I liked the end of Susan Hayward's "I Want to Live", where Theo Bikel just turns off his hearing aid and walks away from a noisy crowd.
