It was VERY good..never a dull moment, big unexpected things...I'm from NY so
I probably loved it extra. I want to say more but don't want to wreck it.
I swear I must be so stupid...I had NO idea that was Tiffany Haddish...she was very good
and slender, too. Not the loud actress I am used to.
The entire cast was fabulous...you have the Irish and the Italians in Brooklyn. Lots to talk about afterwards with your companion.
I had 2 friends from Hell's Kitchen in the '70s...now dead, drug dealer 'problems'.
Nicest guys...but you don't get so big you are now dealing with Columbians. Oh brother.
Margo Martindale...the best, as always...the mother in law of Tiffany Haddish, 'Ruby'.
Rotten Tomatoes gave it a very low score
I much prefer Melissa McCarthy in a film where she acts vs does stupid jokes so I want to see this
Surprised Elizabeth Moss was in it—not that she is bad actress but this seems little pedestrian for her skills—
Maybe because it is a female insurrection theme...
We went
It was enjoyable but not as good as I was hoping from the cast—script was weak
Plot had couple of unexpected blips
Clothing and set design were spot on for the period
Haddish has issue with her voice quality
Her tone/intonation become monotone and angry seems about the only emotion she can produce
