DeNiro must hold the record for most times playing an organized crime figure, next to playing a cop.

Interesting strategy for this movie. Limited theatrical release followed by Netflix streaming. Also a $200 million production budget.

Well, I'm going to strap in and enjoy it because it's likely the last gangster film we'll ever see, it's definitely the last film these guys will all be involved in together, and it could be the last Scorsese film ever. These guys are all getting up there in age so I'm not going to take something like this for granted.

I don't begin to understand the distribution of this movie. Supposedly it was released November 1st (limited) and yet there are no audience reviews on Rotten Tomatoes? To my knowledge, it hasn't been in any of the mainstream theaters nearby me.

What is the Netflix connection and how is it that they seem to be controlling this? I'm sure not gonna start jumping through extra hoops (like subscribing to Netflix) to see a new movie. Baffled here....and frustrated because this one is one of the rare releases I'd go to see.

Looking forward to seeing this and it should be great to see De Niro and Pesci together again in a Scorsese film, along with Al Pacino. The trailers look really good.

It should be a favourite to win awards, however I seem to remember that Goodfellas one of the greatest gangster fims didn't do well as the Oscars and it was a big shock given that BAFTA had already awarded it best picture. Instead the Oscars went with 'Dances with Wolves'.

Yes, I'm looking forward to it as well but am I'm still puzzled as to how or when I'll get that opportunity. And, yes, Dances with Wolves trumping Goodfellas was a joke.

Edit: Just did another search and found a theater that I haven't been to in 10 years where it is playing. Will probably go either today or tomorrow.

Where is it playing in Omaha? I'm curious because that was my stomping ground in another life.

It's playing at the Dundee Theater (now owned and run by Filmstreams).
