Any opinions about Renee Zellweger as Judy Garland? (life)

Just saw it; we loved it. I had forgotten that Zellweger sang in "Chicago." The film was well done; I really enjoyed the flashbacks to her acting career as a child.

Garland's. I have seen most of Renee's films and liked all of them.

Renee was very good, expect an Oscar nom, the movie was not.

My gut reaction was that it was a peculiar choice, and not promising.

I thought Renée Zellweger was fabulous and incredibly brave to take on such an enormous role.
Her performance surpasses the movie.

I was not a fan of Judy Garland - she was way before my time - so I had no real connection to her life and career.
I did however come to the sad conclusion that the child/woman was HUNGRY her whole life!
If she ate normally I don't think the alcohol and drugs would have been such powerful forces in her life.
But we'll never really know.

Strong Oscar contender .. and worth seeing.

Watched it on Epix and thought it was better than some of the reviews gave it.

Renee Zellweger does a great job getting the mannerisms down as Judy Garland. Judy was really before my time and I didn't realize how much she suffered in real life, in particular the movie industry.
