But so does the Brave Little Toaster. You might want to add that to your lists of masterpieces along with Frozen.
Running out of ammo?
I didn't say Brave Little Toaster was a masterpiece, and I personally think Frozen is one of the worst movies ever made. Masterpiece is a word you brought into the conversation.
Scorsese was specifically defining "cinema," and according to that definition, it fits.
Yes, within the 20 some odd films within the MCU, I'm sure they are considered masterpieces. They are not considered masterpieces outside of the MCU.
LOL wow. Do yourself a favor and watch the Tom Hanks special he made this year for CNN about the movies. Watch the one on the 2000's and 2010's. People are definitely acknowledging them outside the MCU. Again, keep reaching.

What about the Smurfs movie? I think that was great too. Definitely on par with Citizen Kane if you ask me.
Fair criticism, but not exactly true. Scorsese said ---
He gave it a fair shot, decided it wasn't for him, and moved on. I've done that before. Life is too short to waste on a bad movie.
I am very curious about which movie he tried to watch. I wish he'd 'fess up.
Again, still want to know which one he watched. And it does matter. If I want to impress someone who has never seen a movie from the MCU, I wouldn't pick Thor: The Dark World, or Age of Ultron. I would show them the first Iron Man, first Avengers, or The Winter Solider. Even Joss Wheadon, James Gunn, and now Kevin Smith, are all curious to know which one he watched.

LOL got tired of using The Brave Little Toaster I take it? By the way, I answered your question on emotions in End Game, but I can see you've ignored it. Yeah, you've run out of ammo.
If only we were weiner dogs, all our problems would be solved!
Do you have the sense that the people who find "Endgame" to be "sad" would also find "The Brave Little Toaster" to be "sad"? Death is often an emotionally powerful theme. But it's also a theme that leaves the strongest impression among juvenile audiences. The concept of finality can be quite a jarring one for an 8-year old.
