Just went to see the new Star Wars.
Not even opening week.
And of course the Can't Shut Up crew was there.
Like seriously, wtf is with the talking???!!
Went to a play a few nights later, and their other branch was there.
The only reason I hate going and doing anything- other people.

Just don't have folks like that where we go to movies, either Studio Movie Grill or Alamo Drafthouse. Alamo will kick people out right away if they're talking or using their phones.
Studio Movie Grill doesn't hammer the same scary pre-movie warning Alamo makes, but nobody talks or texts in that theater either.
Yes, I still go to the movies. My daughter is a movie fan like me, so it's how to spend time together. In a couple years she'll be out on her own and I won't have anyone to go with anymore, so I suspect my theater-going will drop off drastically unless she opts to go to college close to home.
Still go but more so in the winter or cold weather times. There is just more to do in warmer times putting the theater on the back burner, unless it's a Drive-in movie night.

My nearest Alamo is on the east valley. I do like the AMC set up but I hate the movie going audiences. I try to go earlier or later viewings myself and during the week, not weekend.

1-4 movies. Senior rate. I will probably watch about closer to 4 movies/yr now that I am within walking distance of theater.
Forgot ear plugs for Star Wars IX.
I also go to local live theaters and high school plays.
Both are cheaper to attend than going to the local sports bar to watch a game.

Here's something I never thought of till the play. It's a very dark play bc they are trying to manage a color illusion.
A guy sitting in the row down from us had a smart watch.
He kept putting his hands behind his head, flashing his bright watch face at us over and over.
