I'm honestly not sure if LITTLE BIG MAN is really a comedy. It's gut-wrenching in places. But it is also really, really hilarious in parts, almost to the point of satire. Richard Mulligan is hilarious as General Custer.

Old Lodge Skins : Invisible! I've never been invisible before!

---

Jack Crabb : Grandfather, I have a white wife.

Old Lodge Skins : You do? That's interesting. Does she cook and does she work hard.

Jack Crabb : Yes, Grandfather.

Old Lodge Skins : That surprises me. Does she show pleasant enthusiasm when you mount her?

Jack Crabb : Well sure, Grandfather.

Old Lodge Skins : That surprises me even more. I tried one of them once, but she didn't show any enthusiasm at all.

---

Old Lodge Skins : Let's go back to the teepee and eat, my son. My new snake wife cooks dog very well.

Jack Crabb : All right, Grandfather.

Old Lodge Skins : She also has a very soft skin. The only trouble with snake women is they copulate with horses, which makes them strange to me. She say's she doesn't. That's why I call her "Doesn't Like Horses". But, of course, she's lying.

---

Old Lodge Skins : Am I still in this world?

Jack Crabb : Yes, Grandfather.

Old Lodge Skins : [groans] I was afraid of that. Well, sometimes the magic works. Sometimes, it doesn't.

---

Old Lodge Skins : My heart soars like an oak.

Yeah.. after you posted it I went and looked on IMDB and read the quotes, lol. I really didn't remember some of those. I do remember the gut wrenching scenes.
And yes.. I've seen Josey about 12 times. Lotta good lines in that one too. My only prob with that movie is I am def not a fan of Sondra. But Clint & The Chief make it excellent!

I think I quote some of Chief Dan George's lines from just about every movie I've seen him in. Loved watching that guy.

Dyin' ain't much of a livin' boy.

I was never crazy about the way Blazing Saddles ended.

For something that is more of a straight comedy, rather than satire, I rather liked Cat Ballou.

How can you not adore a movie in which both Clint Eastwood and Lee Marvin sing?
