Looks like there's almost nothing in the forum about these, but it's a fascinating and unique project, following children into adulthood, for decades.

Does Who You Are at 7 Determine Who You Are at 63?
In 1964, with “Seven Up!” Michael Apted stumbled into making what has become the most profound documentary series in the history of cinema. Fifty-five years later, the project is reaching its conclusion.

“Seven Up!” aired on May 5, 1964. “It was one of those ideas,” Apted wrote later, “that sounded O.K. when you talked about it, but when you actually saw it, it was remarkable.” It landed like a grenade. "It was the truth of the class system out of the mouths of babes, and the whole country was shocked.”

I agree, these films are fascinating. I've seen all of them except "63 Up." I think I found the subjects and their life experiences especially interesting because they are only 4 years older than I am.

^^^You'll find "63 Up" every bit as fascinating as the earlier films in the series. I highly recommend it!

I watched 28 and most of 56. The problem with this is the healthy user bias. If you have ever gone to a college reunion you probably know what I am talking about. Mostly it is the people that have meet their goals or who are generally considered successful that pArticipate.
