Rumors are spreading that Disney has been test-screening Indiana Jones 5 and things have not been going well. YouTuber Overlord DVD made a full video detailing the rumors, saying that they have tested six different endings and the audiences haven’t liked any of them. Furthermore, the rumors say that Disney is in a panic over the screenings and that they’re worried the movie will bomb.
Probably, yes. It's a sign of a movie designed by a committee, not an artist. That's never a good thing.
That said ... I am one of the few who didn't hate KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL. I didn't love it. They could have cut "Mutt" entirely and made a better movie. But I liked everything else. In fact, of the sequels, it's my favorite.
TEMPLE OF DOOM had some great moments, but had way too many moments that made my eyes roll. It was a bit too GOONIES for me.
And THE LAST CRUSADE decided to be a comedy for some reason. It never worked for me.
This franchise is basically 35 years past its prime. It's strange that this news would be surprising, or disappointing to anyone..
F*ck these too-late sequels.

And "The Last Crusade" wasn't the last crusade. So it's like when a band does their farewell tour, then another one, and another...and pretty soon the band is on their tenth "farewell tour". Yeah, okay.
I think I'd rather watch this video of Ford landing on a taxiway again...now THIS is entertainment. Indiana Jones and the Search for 20L.
