The original House of Wax with Vincent Price. I believe it was the first 3D movie -- a double feature shown with a Three Stooges movie. Also, the Creature from the Black Lagoon.

There was one I remember about Gargoyles. It was black and white and I remember the gargoyle tearing open the roof of the getaway car. That scared me a lot.

And I realize I was a teenager but Halloween gave me nightmares for weeks after I watched it as a kid and I still can't hear the music or watch it now. Michael Myers creeps me out!!!!

The original "Invaders from Mars", the one from the 1950s.

The picture is from a kid's point of view and is very frightening. And the twist at the end is still IMO the best twist in the history of the pictures.

i have loads. the exorcist is the reason i stopped watching scary movies. EVERY zombie movies in the 80s.(that's the peak of zombie movies) i also remember EVIL DEAD and this:

Mother's Day (1980)

scared me. we rented a lot of betamax tapes in the 80s.. most are scary movies until "exorcist" made me stop watching.

oh and yes. Michael Jackson's Thriller video scared the bejezeez out of me.
