I think I've got these right... Anyway, there's quite a bit of ground covered over the years and most of us have presumably seen a Bond flick or two. Personally, I really enjoy Nancy Sinatra's You Only Live Twice and Shirley Bassey's Goldfinger. But I'm sure there will be disagreement among the ranks and thus, a purpose for this question. Which theme music stands out for you?

John Barry / Dr. No 1962
Matt Munro / From Russia with Love 1963
Shirley Bassey / Goldfinger 1964
Tom Jones / Thunderball 1965
Nancy Sinatra / You Only Live Twice 1967
John Barry / On Her Majesty's Secret Service 1969
Shirley Bassey / Diamonds Are Forever 1971
Paul McCartney & Wings / Live and Let Die 1973
Lulu / The Man with the Golden Gun 1974
Carly Simon / The Spy Who Loved Me 1977
Shirley Bassey / Moonraker 1979
Sheena Easton / For Your Eyes Only 1981
Rita Coolidge / Octopussy 1983
Duran Duran / A View to a Kill 1985
A-Ha The Living Daylights 1987
Gladys Knight / Licence to Kill 1989
Tina Turner / GoldenEye 1995
Sheryl Crow / Tomorrow Never Dies 1997
Garbage / The World Is Not Enough 1999
Madonna / Die Another Day 2002
Chris Cornell / Casino Royale 2006

I'm not a huge fan of '60s lounge music, so I'd have to go with:

Sheena Easton / For Your Eyes Only 1981
Chris Cornell / Casino Royale 2006
Paul McCartney & Wings / Live and Let Die 1973

Goldfinger, the classic theme of the classic Bond picture.

I like the ones by McCartney and Simon. But what's also great is that most of the various theme songs fit the time in which the movie was made. Thus, Nancy Sinatra's is fantastic.

I grew up and with and ate breathed and slept everything I could of Live and Let Die! I was about 7 at the time it came out and I loved the movie and the band Wings at that time.

Great movie and gr8 soundtrack!

The Jack White/Alicia Keys collaboration, Another Way to Die, will be out in the fall, as will the Bond movie, Quantum Solace.

Not sure which my favorite is, but am leaning toward Bassey's Goldfinger and Turner's Goldeneye.

IMO these are the best, with Ms. Bassey's Goldfinger on top. She is one of the great all-time divas.
