Huh, kinda weird book to make into a movie. So much of the book was about the architects behind the development of the exposition. Are they going to include any of that into the movie? or just stick with the serial killer stuff?
If so, it won't really be a movie made from the book, but a movie about the true crime story of the serial killer that just happens to have the same name as the book.
Erik Larson was fascinated by the people involved designing and building the Columbian Exposition.
I do hope they include the fair - it must have been an incredible experience. World's Columbian Exposition: The Legacy of the Fair

I highly doubt it's going to be a movie where the main theme is going to be butchering people. So if you are into that you might be disappointed. I hope it's about what the above poster said. Very interesting.
The actual crime details are so hideous, I can't believe they're making this movie. I suppose it's so long ago, though, that they're willing to go for it. Not my cup of tea...
