Have you seen Mostly Martha (Bella Martha)? A German movie. Fabulous! Great food, sound track, acting, and food, food, food! Much of the movie takes place in the kitchen of a restaurant. Big drool factor...

Here's a clip:

I should have known that bluewillowplate would beat me in with What's Cooking!

I also recommend "Pieces Of April". It's not as much about the cooking, but it's still great.

So sad...but yes, a great movie, and the cooking parts are good, too.
I loved Mostly Martha, the original German movie, (and have no desire to see the remake with Catherine Zeta-Jones).
More: Vatel, takes place in 17th century France, sumptuous costumes, sumptuous feast.
Eat Drink Man Woman A chef and his daughters and life's changes. The opening scene, a luncheon, took over a week to film.
I liked all the cooking in Ratatouille, though occasionally the rattiness of it made me a bit queasy.

"Ratatouille" was just fab and I loved the music too ! The scene where the Food critic is taken back to his childhood simply with a bite of the Ratatouille is priceless.

And it's true, sometimes one morsel of food really can take you back to your childhood.
Vatel is sort of a more bloated movie and sometimes gives you a bloated feeling watching it, but it's all part of the cooking and eating experience.

It's not really a foodie movie but I was thinking of Moonstruck. The "toad-in-the-hole" the mom was making for breakfast made my eyes water, it looked so good. Also, the dinner she made for the entire family. I was going nuts trying to figure out whether one of the dishes was mushrooms. The food looked fabulous and made me hungry.

Also, this is weird, the movie Fargo - the buffet food that Margie (Frances McDormand) and her husband were eating for lunch at what looked to be a hotel dining room in Minnesota. The choices looked greasy and fattening, but good.

Not a movie, but The Sopranos - some of the dinners that Tony and his fellow mobsters ate together looked really good.
