What are some movies or actors who do really bad accents?

I can think of some actors who butcher the American accent:
Jude Law
Sienna Miller
Catherine Zeta-Jones
Ewan McGregor

to name a few...

Both Nicole Kidman and Angelina Jolie did one but I can't recall the names of the movies.

Russell Crowe. It's especially bad when he's trying to mimic a western accent which didn't even come close (e.g. 3.10 to Yuma), or a southern accent (the one he did with Leonardo DiCaprio).

Oh come on! Kevin Costner's horrible horrible horrible accent in Robin Hood was almost worth seeing the movie for!

Tom Cruise's Irish accent iin Far & Away is deplorable as well.

Leonardo DiCaprio's Irish accent in Gangs of New York was pretty terrible. Thankfully for him, however, it was overshadowed by the superb film itself.

Sean Connery and Tim Curry as "Russians" in The Hunt For Red October. Thankfully, I don't think either the Scot or the Brit attempted a Russian accent. Or maybe they did and I didn't notice

Heath Ledger was just about perfect in Brokeback..there are only a couple of words that might give him away...

I can't get over how bad these accents were:

Wynona Ryder in Dracula
Keanu Reeves in Dracula
Keanu Reeves in Devil's Advocate (FL accent)

After those films I realized why directors/producers make the choice to just have actors speak with their own accent even if it doesn't fit the role.

When it's done well it can truly elevate the film: Gary Oldman in Dracula comes to mind - as does Heath Ledger in Brokeback. But bad accents are extremely distracting.

see, I thought Leonardo's DiCaprio's accent in "The Departed" was just as bad! here's hoping he's not butchering another accent in "Revolutionary Road"!
